Keep the terminal on its stand away from the ice display and it copes with a normal working counter. Cards are presented to the reader rather than handed over.
Does it work at the quayside?
Yes. It uses a 4G SIM rather than fixed broadband, so it works away from the shop wherever there is mobile coverage.
How long does the battery last?
A full charge covers a normal trading day, including an early market start, and it recharges on the base between shifts.
Can trade customers pay by card?
Yes. Restaurant and trade collections can be settled on the terminal at pickup, which removes the wait on invoice terms.
Is there a monthly cost?
No. The first terminal is free with no rental, no minimum charge and no PCI fee. Extra terminals are £14 a month.
