What switching involves
Switching means a new merchant account and a new terminal, not a rebuild of how you take payments. You apply, underwriting confirms the account, the machine is delivered — usually within two working days of approval — and you plug it in and start trading on it.
Most businesses run both terminals for a few days so nothing depends on a single changeover moment. Once you are happy, you stop using the old device and arrange its return with your existing provider.
Contract-end considerations
Dojo's standard merchant agreements are typically fixed-term, so the practical first step is to ask Dojo in writing for your contract end date and any early termination position. That single email tells you whether to switch now or line the change up for renewal.
There is nothing wrong with waiting. We will give you the numbers either way and, if the sums do not work until your term ends, we will say so rather than push you into an early exit.
