Who we are

Shift4 Card Machine is operated by Atlas Payments, an authorised Shift4 partner arranging card payment facilities for UK businesses. For anything relating to your personal data, contact Jamie@atlaspayments.co.uk.

What we collect

When you complete a quote form, a callback request or the statement review request on this site, we collect:

• Your name
• Your business name
• Your phone number
• Your email address
• Your business type or trade
• Your monthly card turnover band

We also record the page you submitted from, the referring website, any campaign tracking values in the link you arrived on, and a one way hashed version of your IP address used only to prevent spam and repeated submissions. We do not collect card numbers, bank details or any special category data through this website.

Why we use it

We use these details to contact you about a card machine quote, to prepare pricing from the information you give us, and to review a merchant statement if you send one. Our lawful basis is legitimate interest in responding to a business enquiry you have made, and where required, your consent. We do not sell your data and we do not pass it to third party marketing lists.

Who we share it with

Your enquiry is shared with Shift4 and its underwriting team where you ask us to progress an application, and with the technology suppliers who host this website, our database and our email delivery. Those suppliers act on our instructions only.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not become customers are deleted within 24 months. Where an application is submitted, records are kept for as long as required by the payment provider and UK financial record keeping rules.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to us using it. Email Jamie@atlaspayments.co.uk and we will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with our response you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
